Advanced Technology

Metal mesh stators working close to the ultra-fine diaphragm offer superior openness and minimizes distortion. Frames incorporate special alloys to ensure sonic stability and to reduce distortion. The width of the mesh grating is only 50um so that sound waves below 1 million Hertz can pass through, making it acoustically transparent.

Amplifier

A Newly Designed and custom made Amplifier Created specifically for the HiFiMAN Shangri-La Sr headphone to reveal the power and emotion of music.

Made using the finest hand matched 300B Vacuum Tubes currently available in the world. The tubes at the core of the Shangri-La Sr amplifier function closely to the output to offer the sort of warm and sumptuous sonic quality the finest tube amplifiers are known for. The 300B tube works as the direct driving stage. There are neither capacitors nor transformers between the tubes and headphones, meaning the HiFiMAN Shangri-La Sr might be the only audible system you can directly listen to 300B's heavenly sound.

Relay-based volume control

The distinct design of the Shangri-La Sr's relay-based attenuator has a 24 step level of volume control and utilises a total of 23 separate resistors. Every volume level being unique and independent. Negligible noise gives way to a pure and heavenly reproduction of any harmony.
