It is cast from zinc alloy, and although Meze says the finish is matte black, I think it’s more semi-matte. There is a bit of texture in the powder coat, and the spectral highlights are very pleasing when the light hits it. The headband-rest is made from vegan leather, and the bottom is fitted with silicone nubs so your desk or table won’t get scratched. It’s super nice.
