Equipped with new acoustic chamber unit “ACT05”

The Acoustune HS2000Mx MK2 continues to use the proven Milinx composite driver with a Japanese-made beryllium thin film processed dome for the diaphragm, and also features an acoustic chamber body using CNC-cut OFC (oxygen-free copper). We have optimized the acoustic tuning in combination.


About sunspots

The Acoustune HS2000MX MK2 uses OFC material. OFC is copper with a purity of over 99.99% and does not contain any oxides.

Due to the nature of the material, oxidation reactions (rust) begin the moment it comes into contact with air, so the OFC chamber is coated with a coating that slows down oxidation. However, in principle, oxidation has already started during processing, and some black spots (oxidation) may be visible. Technically speaking, it is currently extremely difficult to completely prevent the occurrence of sunspots, and they are not a defect.

Although the above coating makes it difficult for sunspots to change over time, due to the characteristics of the product, we recommend wiping off any dirt such as sebum with a dry, soft cloth after use.

*If you use cleaning agents, compounds, hard cloths, etc., the coating may peel off and oxidation may spread all at once.


Acoustune Capsule Technology (ACT)

A major feature of previous Acoustune products was that they adopted a modular structure in which the acoustic chamber and mechanical housing were completely separated. This time, its modular structure has evolved even further. For the first time, we have adopted Acoustune Capsule Technology (ACT), which allows the user to replace the acoustic chamber by opening and closing the movable outer housing with high precision and minimal rattling, allowing for future options and upgrades.

Latest Milinx composite dynamic driver with Japanese beryllium thin film processed dome

The Acoustune HS2000MX MK2 adopts a composite structure that combines a Milinx diaphragm using medical grade polymer biomaterial as the basic material and a Japanese beryllium thin film processed dome, which is a traditional feature of the driver unit in Acoustune earphones. We were able to use materials that could not be used in conventional products due to availability, mass production, and cost, but we were able to do so after reconsidering and finding new suppliers. While retaining the characteristics of a dynamic driver, such as seamless, linear playback and rich bass across all bands, the highly rigid metal dome suppresses resonance and produces tight, damped bass. realization. The Acoustune HS2000MX MK2 plays music like a well-organized orchestra.

Acoustic chamber using CNC-cut extra super duralumin

In order to maximize driver response, CNC-cut extra-super duralumin is used as the chamber material for the Acoustune HS2000MX MK2. A7075 used in this product is a metal used in aircraft that was developed in Japan approximately 85 years ago. It has the highest strength among aluminum alloys, which are lighter than other metals. Although its tensile strength and hardness are comparable to titanium, it is lightweight due to its low specific gravity. It has superior machinability compared to difficult-to-cut materials such as titanium and stainless steel used in previous models, so it can further improve accuracy. In other words, by pushing the clearance between the driver and the chamber to the limit, it has the advantage of being able to be mounted more rigidly than traditional materials. This product’s Milinx composite driver requires extra-super duralumin because it requires high installation accuracy in the chamber.


ARS100 cable that achieves a good total balance

The cable of the Acoustune HS2000MX MK2 uses Acoustune’s new generation cable ARS100 series. After much trial and error regarding the wire material, number of cores, and weaving method, we finally decided on the ARS100 series, which is equivalent to the standard product, considering the high degree of perfection as a cable and the overall balance of the earphone. Developed jointly with a specialized audio cable manufacturer, we continue to use a wire material with a 16-core structure of a hybrid cable of silver-coated OFC wire and ultra-fine OFC wire, and Pentaconn Ear terminals manufactured by Nippon Dicks.

While maintaining the high-precision metal parts, we also use gunmetal-colored metal parts such as the connector, splitter, and earphone jack to match the color of the earphone body, creating a harmonious and high-quality look throughout the earphone. It creates a feeling.

Newly included “AEX70”

Although based on the shape of the Acoustune “AEX07” ear tips, they use the shape memory polymer “SMPiFit®” manufactured by SMP Technologies, which has been used in the AEX50. Taking into consideration the differences in materials, we have made fine adjustments to the shape and changed the wall thickness. Due to the characteristics of the material, it has excellent shape recovery and fixation properties, and provides a stable fit.This product achieves a light and comfortable fit by reducing the wall thickness while maintaining the necessary and sufficient holding power and wearability. New shape earpiece “AEX50”

The new shape earpiece “AEX50”, which is included in this product for the first time, is made from SMP Technologies’ shape memory polymer “SMP iFit®” and has a double wing shape. This product uses AEX50 as the reference earpiece. The wide wing part adheres to the skin near the entrance of the ear canal over a wider area than regular earpieces. In addition, combined with the material’s ability to maintain its shape when worn, it fits snugly into the ear near the entrance of the ear canal, eliminating the need to insert it all the way into the ear, eliminating any discomfort. Furthermore, due to the position of the earpiece, more space is secured in the ear canal, so you can experience a different sound field than with regular earpieces. One pair of each of 5 sizes (XS/S/M/L/XL) is included to support fitting for as many people as possible.


Renewed new reference earpiece “AEX07”

In addition to the AEX50, “AEX07” is also included, which is a renewed version of the reference earpiece AET07, which is also used in the development of Acoustune earphones as a regular type earpiece. Based on the basic design of this product, which has a long track record of being shipped together and as a single item as a standard earpiece, we have developed the shape of the ST1000 based on a large amount of ear shape data obtained from the production of the 3D custom fit intershell “ST1000”. We have reviewed the adjustment and size variation development. One pair each of 3 sizes S/M/L is included.
