Analog Amplifiers
Analog amplifiers are not equipped with a digital-to-analog convertor. This means you should have a separate DAC to enjoy digital media. This DAC could also be included in a combined Amplifier/DAC.
Analog amplifiers come in all price classes and working principles. We sell both solid state (transistor) as vacuum state (tube) amplifiers. Tube amplifiers come in two different ‘tastes’: OTL (output transformerless) and non-OTL. Most OTL amplifiers have trouble with low impedance loads like planar headphones and are more comfortable with high impedance headphones like the models from Sennheiser.
Matching is very important between amplifier and headphone. Ask us for support!
