Development of the ZE500 ASMR

It is widely known that listening to ASMR or binaural recordings with conventional earphones or headphones causes a peculiar discomfort in the high frequency range. Although the cause of this discomfort was understood by acoustic researchers, there were few successful examples of effective countermeasures. In August 2019, our R&D team adopted a new approach and created the E500, an earphone that faithfully reproduces the timbre, spatial image, and sound direction intended by the creator.

E500" became a topic of conversation for its vividness of voice

The sound quality of "E500" is so vivid that you can sense not only the voice and breathing of the performer, but also the distance from the microphone and the direction of the speech, and it has become a topic of conversation as "echi-nai earphones" mainly through social networking sites. In particular, they have come to be used as monitor earphones for sound checks in the production of ASMR content and 3D games. Now, among ASMR fans, "E500" is widely used as a standard ASMR earphone.

The Challenge of Wireless

On the other hand, there were many requests for a wireless version of the "E500," but it was not easy to achieve the same sound quality as wired products because wireless products require a circuit board and battery to be built into the main body. Therefore, we have concentrated the sound quality tuning technologies for earphones and headphones that we have cultivated in the "final" and "ag" brands, and released "COTSUBU for ASMR" and "COTSUBU for ASMR 3D," completely wireless earphones dedicated to ASMR that further evolved from the "E500" from the "ag" brand. The "ZE500 for ASMR" is a wireless earphone dedicated to ASMR under the final brand, which was developed based on the knowledge gained from these products.

Final's unique sound quality design optimized for ASMR content

final's proprietary acoustic research has developed a new ASMR-specific sound quality that specializes in the reproduction of proximal "voices". Utilizing the knowledge gained from the "COTSUBU for ASMR" wireless earphones (ag brand), we have achieved a sound that pursues a deep sense of immersion in content where voices and sounds are enjoyed at close range. This product is particularly focused on reproducing the "voice" band in close proximity and in a natural way, and can be used comfortably not only for ASMR, but also for long hours of listening to radio, streaming, audiobooks, and so on. Compared to the "COTSUBU for ASMR" series, the "COTSUBU for ASMR" series has a higher resolution of the entire sound space and superior sound separation.

The integrated soft earpieces are designed to seal the ear at the entrance, achieving an ideal fit with zero pressure sensation. Even if the ear is compressed by a pillow or cushion, the user will hardly feel any foreign body sensation, and the structure is designed to prevent dislodging even when changing postures while sleeping. While the "COTSUBU for ASMR" series is designed to be inserted deep into the ear canal, the "ZE500 for ASMR" is designed with a shallower insertion depth, making it even easier to continue wearing.

Equipped with "ASMR mode" to turn off tap sound and guidance sound

To prevent accidental touch operation caused by unexpectedly touching the main body of the earphone, this product employs a tap sensor. In addition, the product is equipped with an "ASMR mode" that disables the tap operation and guidance sound. Use this mode when you want to prevent accidental touches or when you want to immerse yourself in ASMR and other content. (*Setting with a dedicated application is required.)

Fine volume adjustment is possible with "Volume Step Optimization."

The volume that each person perceives as appropriate varies, and especially in quiet spaces, such as at bedtime, the senses tend to be sensitive to volume. On the other hand, the volume control on a smartphone may not be able to achieve the desired volume because the volume change at each step is too large. With this product, volume can be adjusted easily and precisely by using the "Volume Step Optimization" function in the dedicated application. This eliminates problems such as "I want to increase the volume by one more step" and "I want to listen at a lower volume," allowing you to listen at a volume that is comfortable for you. The settings can be made via the dedicated application.

ASMR Port" for prolonged use

The "ASMR Port" was developed with prolonged use in mind, such as when falling asleep or watching a distribution. By adjusting the increasing pressure in the ear canal, it eases the burden on the eardrum and at the same time reduces the burden on the internal driver. It also prevents the inside of the ear canal from becoming damp, allowing for long hours of use with peace of mind.

Supports wireless charging

Charging is possible by simply placing the product on a charger that supports wireless charging. Wireless charger is not included in this product.
