The LAiV Crescendo CHORUS is a GaN stereo power amplifier that delivers 50W per channel in stereo mode or 120W of true balanced power in bridge mono. Gallium Nitride transistors switch faster than traditional silicon MOSFETs, producing output that stays faithful to the source with lower distortion, wider bandwidth, and better efficiency. The result is transparency and detail without the heat or bulk of conventional Class D designs. CHORUS is derived from the more expensive Harmony GaNM, sharing the same core GaN technology but in a stamped aluminum chassis with a 160W power supply.
In stereo mode, it runs single-ended with both XLR and RCA inputs. In bridge mono mode, the signal is converted internally to a fully differential path, improving noise rejection and dynamic range. For serious systems, pair two CHORUS units in dual mono configuration for complete channel separation and reference-level imaging. DC offset, over-current, and over-temperature protection come standard, along with microcontroller startup verification. Firmware updates via microSD keep it current.
CHORUS runs cool and quiet with no fans, designed for always-on operation at under 2W standby. It is stable down to 2Ω, pairs well with the Crescendo VERSE or virtually any DAC and preamp, and fits both desktop setups and full two-channel systems. This is GaN amplification at a price that makes sense.
