The Meze Audio ARTA is a flagship planar magnetic headphone built around the MZ5 HΩ driver, the highest-impedance planar driver ever made at 225 ohms. That unusually high impedance enables a high-voltage, low-current design that delivers exceptional linearity and signal purity. The sound signature is warm-neutral with a naturally expansive soundstage that places instruments in three-dimensional space rather than inside your head. Meze describes it as speaker-like, and the frequency response of 3 Hz to 115 kHz suggests serious extension at both ends.

The industrial design is sculptural and flowing, mixing carbon fiber, precision metals, and leather into something that feels more like art than gear. Acoustic blades angled into the grille minimize internal reflections for cleaner transients and a more open presentation.
