The HE1000 still has the big, relaxed soundstage it's known for, but the V4 Stealth places instruments more precisely, hits harder and tighter in the bass, and sounds faster and more dynamic from top to bottom. It reveals a lot of fine detail without turning analytical, so it stays musical over long sessions. At 32 ohms and 93 dB sensitivity, it's reasonably easy to drive for a planar, though a good desktop amp will get the most out of it.

The HiFIMAN HE1000 Stealth Magnet Version is the 4th revision of HiFiMAN's well-known flagship open-back planar magnetic headphone. It keeps what made the HE1000 Stealth work: the large, ultra-light diaphragm, the asymmetrical magnet structure and HiFiMAN's patented grille. The new part is the Stealth magnets, which HiFiMAN has been adding to much of its recently updated lineup. They're designed to be acoustically transparent, so sound passes through the magnet array with less diffraction and distortion.
